Minnie Mama

Every day I learn something new. Or, actually, I have a "light bulb" moment.

This morning, when trying to discipline my three year old, I had that feeling of frustration that comes from feeling like she doesn't take me seriously.

Then it occurred to me that perhaps she doesn't regard me as particularly authoritative because I've been wearing her Minnie Mouse ears from Disneyland all morning. She put them on my head earlier, and I simply forgot I was wearing them.

It's probably hard to take someone wearing Minnie Mouse ears seriously. So I took them off, and now I'm back to being "Mama Who Means Business."
