B's first movie

I took B to her very first theater movie today. The Jungle Book 2. She did awesome.

It must be said that The Jungle Book (the original) is, perhaps, the greatest childrens' movie of all time. It is timeless. There's no way a sequel could ever hold a candle to the original. The voice characters alone (in the original) were amazing. But, in my opinion, Disney did a pretty good job of finding actors whose voices were pretty darn close! John Goodman did an amazing job as Baloo.

The movie was short, just over an hour long, so it was the perfect first movie for B. Except for the fact that she's only 31 pounds, and the theater seat kept folding up on her because she wasn't heavy enough to hold it down, everything went perfectly. She got to eat popcorn, drink Coke, and eat candy, while watching some of her favorite characters of all time sing and dance on the big screen. I think she truly enjoyed it.

I doubt we'll buy this one when it comes out on DVD, but I'd definitely rent it.
