Take this hose and shove it
Friday, Dec. 07, 2001, 2:06 pm

Went to the doctor yesterday. The specialist doctor. For that, uh, thing on my colon my regular doctor thought needed looking at.

Ever had a garden hose with a camera on the end of it snaked through your underbody while images of your insides are played on a t.v. monitor for the viewing public?

No?

Well, until yesterday, I hadn't either.

I am happy to report that I am the picture of health. There is nothing whatsoever wrong with my colon, or the various parts attaching to and springing from it. I know this because I saw it on t.v.

As for the "procedure" itself, there's not much I can say. If you LIKE having your bowel blown up with enormous amounts of air, which makes you feel like you are going to explode, and if you like having a long tube-thing shoved all the way into your intestines, and hearing the doctor making race-car sounds as he's snaking the thing around your various curves, running into road blocks, backing up, screeching the wheels, doing 360's...

then this is the procedure for you!

Actually, it wasn't *that* bad.

It was uncomfortable, but it was a small price to pay for the satisfaction of knowing I am in good colorectal health! Yay me.

You should try it. Really. YOU might like it.
