We can see the airplanes

It's a busy Monday, so I'll have to make this quick. I just want to say that last night, P and I were out on our deck just before it got really dark. I think that's called twilight, though I'm not positive about that.

Anyway, we live up on a hillside and as the crow flights, Sea-Tac airport is 8 miles due west from us. From our deck, we have a pretty darn good view of the flights arriving to and departing from Sea-Tac. And at night, it's not only easier to see the planes, but it's pretty too. They circle around and around, getting in the pattern, coming in for a landing. Taking off, coming in. Over and over. Endlessly. A steady stream of aircraft. One right after the other -- look into the night sky and you can see them coming. Their bright lights shining in succession.

I just want to say how nice it was to see the airplanes last night. So many more now than there have been the past 3 weeks. The skies over South Seattle look almost normal again.

We like to sit on our deck and watch the airplanes take off and land. We especially like to do it now.
